What is the horse shoe looking pin all the announcers and coaches wearing during the BCS in 2008?

It reminds me of a horse shoe connected to look right-side and down-side. Or a snake. I’ve seen everyone wear it thru out the whole BCS announcement this year and I’m just wanting to know what it symbolizes.

    Karol L is correct… Fox and Alzheimer’s Association have teamed up for the 2008 College Football Season which includes the Bowl Games in January 2009. Each sport has a different charity associated with it and Fox. MLB on FOX is the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the NFL on FOX is the Children’s Health Fund, NASCAR on FOX is Autism Speaks, etc.
